Core Principles

Our Founder

Sreedevi V G

Sreedevi V G is a seasoned social worker, compassionate leader, and tireless advocate for inclusion. With a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW – Counselling), and certifications in Learning Disability Management, Counselling, and a Diploma in Counselling from MG University, she also holds an international accreditation in Person-Centered Approaches (UK). Sreedevi seamlessly combines academic expertise with deep emotional intelligence.

Since 2014, she has dedicated her life to empowering the differently-abled and underprivileged. Her mission is deeply personal—shaped by her journey as the mother of a daughter with intellectual challenges. This experience became a turning point, awakening her life’s purpose and inspiring the development of impactful programs in inclusive education and emotional support.

Our Patron - Anish Mohan

Anish Mohan is a transformational coach, impact-driven entrepreneur, and one of Kerala’s most influential inspirational trainers. As the Founder & CEO of HUG International LLP, he has empowered thousands through high-impact interventions focused on leadership development, resilience building, productivity enhancement, and personal mastery.

A life-altering train accident left him 65% differently-abled—costing him a leg and a hand—but not his vision or will. Refusing to be defined by disability, Anish transformed adversity into advocacy. His journey from trauma to triumph became a testament to the power of purpose, and his life’s mission took form: to help individuals break through limitations and rise with clarity, courage, and conviction.

Rooted in Legacy, Driven by Purpose

HUG International Charitable Foundation is the philanthropic extension of HUG International LLP, a leading human empowerment and training organization. While the Foundation was officially established in 2025, its roots lie deep in the legacy of the Institute for Person-Centered Approaches in India (IPCAI), founded by visionary educator and psychology counsellor Dr. Mathew Kanamala in 2008 and registered as a charitable trust in 2012. Guided by Person-Centered values, both IPCAI and HUG International have consistently worked to empower individuals by recognizing and nurturing their uniqueness.

Our core mission is to empower differently-abled individuals, underprivileged youth, women in crisis, senior citizens, and families in need. We don’t just offer support—we transform lives through programs in inclusive education, livelihood, wellness, and sustainable development.

From Vision to Movement: The IPCAI Years

Since its early days, IPCAI has been a trailblazer in inclusive education and advocacy. Under the leadership of Mr. Anish Mohan, who was elected as the first National Coordinator of IPCAI in 2013, the organization gained national prominence. He played a transformative role in expanding IPCAI’s reach by organizing four National Conferences and one International Conference, bringing together experts and changemakers in Person-Centered Approaches (PCA).

In 2014, Anish and Dr. Mathew Kanamala visited the UK to forge international alliances—a turning point that led to the launch of PCA E-Learning in India in partnership with Dimensions, UK. This pioneering initiative enabled over 100 professionals to gain certification in PCA and laid the foundation for a national movement.

A changemaker who is 65% differently-abled himself, Anish was honored with the Kerala State Award in 2014 for his contributions to inclusive development. His advocacy has resulted in landmark achievements, including the implementation of accessible parking directives across Kerala and the advancement of driving license eligibility for the differently-abled.

The Rise of TEEN IPCAI

In 2016, Sreedevi V G joined IPCAI as a social worker, and in 2017, took the helm of TEEN IPCAI—a flagship program for socially and academically disadvantaged teenagers. Formally launched in 2018, the program has since empowered over 50 students, including those with intellectual and developmental challenges. Through residential empowerment camps, remedial education, and life skills training, many of these students are now pursuing higher education and professional courses—testaments to the program’s impact.

Crisis to Compassion: Flood & Pandemic Response

During the devastating Kerala floods of 2018 and 2019, Anish led IPCAI’s disaster relief efforts, rebuilding homes for differently-abled families and facilitating urgent rehabilitation. From 2019 onwards, under the coordination of Mr. Sailesh V P, IPCAI expanded its grassroots social work initiatives—providing vital support during both the floods and the COVID-19 pandemic (2020–2022). His leadership ensured timely food distribution, community outreach, and direct assistance to hundreds of families across Kerala.

The Birth of HUG: A Legacy Reinvented

In 2025, with over a decade of experience behind him, Anish Mohan founded HUG International LLP—Hope, Uniqueness, Growth. HUG is more than an organization; it is a movement. The “U” in HUG represents Uniqueness, reflecting the Person-Centered philosophy at the heart of everything Anish stands for. HUG International LLP provides purpose-driven training, coaching, counselling, and consulting services for individuals, institutions, and communities.

In parallel, Sreedevi V G established the HUG International Charitable Foundation—a second-generation nonprofit created to continue and scale the social vision of IPCAI. Officially registered as a Section 8 company in 2025 (CIN: U88900KL2025NPL093248), the Foundation is headquartered in Cochin, Kerala, and serves as a national platform for inclusive development.

From Legacy to Future

Together, HUG International LLP and HUG International Charitable Foundation form a holistic ecosystem that fuses compassion with strategy, empathy with action, and grassroots change with global standards. Anchored in IPCAI’s founding values, this ecosystem is building a new India where hope thrives, uniqueness is celebrated, and every individual is empowered to grow purposefully.
